Loose Women 'rumbled' for not being live due to Denise Welch's Instagram and lack of news chat

Eagle-eyed Loose Women viewers have 'rumbled' the show for not being live as Denise Welch appeared in the studio twice this week despite the fact that she's currently on a cruise.

The long-running ITV discussion show is known for reacted to breaking news stories, with episodes in the last few months dealing with everything from Boris Johnson's resignation to the reveal of Strictly Come Dancing contestants. However, those who've been tuning in over the past week have noticed that there has been a distinct lack of chat on current affairs.

Typically whoever is hosting Loose Women, with the likes of Christine Lampard and Kaye Adams doing the honours recently, will kick off the show by engaging the panel in discussion on one of the big new stories of the day. And then, anyone who follows Denise on Instagram will have noticed that, while she has been on Loose Women this week, she is currently on a cruise with her family. Denise even posted about meeting up with Loose Women colleague Carol McGiffin in Nice, just hours after Thursday's episode went out.

Those viewers who also watch This Morning every day have also picked up on the fact that the links between the presenters of the two shows have been very stunted, with no natural interaction. Noticing just that, one viewer took to Twitter to post: " @loosewomen not live today? The handover from @thismorning clearly showed it."

A second tweeted: " @loosewomen so today’s programme wasnt live then. How many more are not live, you give the impression they all are," with another reacting: "Loose women looks like it’s been pre recorded for the last few weeks. No discussion on current affairs."
