Looms of Ladakh Women Cooperative Ltd has rejected allegations of irregularities in its registration and functioning, asserting that its decade-long work to strengthen Ladakh's Pashmina sector has been carried out in full compliance with the law and under the oversight of statutory authorities.
The statement comes after the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh wrote to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), raising concerns over the cooperative's registration, governance and its role in securing Geographical Indication (GI) registration for Ladakh Pashmina textiles.
