It is time once again to leave the Pittsburgh Steelers draft fate to the algorithm and see what the mock draft simulator from Pro Football Network does with the Steelers seven-round mock draft.
First round - CB Joey Porter Jr., Penn State
Second round - OT Anton Harrison, Oklahoma
Second round - EDGE Keion White Georgia Tech
Third round - OL Matthew Bergeron, Syracuse
Fourth round - S Ronnie Hickman, Ohio State
Seventh round - TE Josh Whyle, Cincinnati
Seventh round - LB Anfernee Orji, Vanderbilt
Analysis
Trusting the algorithm is always a mixed bag but this one turned out rock solid. The fanbase would be elated to see former Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. in the first round and getting offensive tackle Anton Harrison in the second fills the Steelers biggest need.
Interestingly the simulation opted for a second offensive tackle but it must have as little faith in Dan Moore and Chuks Okorafor as we do. Jokes aside, Matthew Bergeron is an excellent physical player and a bargain.
Overall, it’s hard to find much wrong with this mock draft. Let us know in your comments what you think of these picks.
