The Miami Dolphins got to work on Monday afternoon, the start of the league’s legal tampering period, as they agreed to contracts with two pending free agents – linebacker David Long and quarterback Mike White.
Long agrees to join Miami after spending his first few seasons with the Tennessee Titans, while White comes from the New York Jets.
The latter is from Florida, and he talked earlier in the offseason about the idea of coming home and playing for the Dolphins as an enticing idea. After the two sides agreed to terms, White took to social media to share an old photo of him as a child in Dolphins gear.

This is the second offseason in a row that Miami has signed a quarterback from the state, as Teddy Bridgewater made his return last year. It’s always great to see a player come home and be embraced by a fan base that they grew up a part of.
