Michigan State’s loss to Iowa on Tuesday night may have cost them the double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament.
As of right now, Michigan State is playing on Thursday afternoon and sitting as the No. 5 seed in the Big Ten Tournament. A win over Iowa on Tuesday night would have put the Spartans into the top of four of the league and into that double-bye spot.
As of right now — which will certainly change by the end of this week — the Spartans would play the winner of No. 12 Maryland and No. 13 Ohio State in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament.
