HYDERABAD: IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao has urged Indian diaspora in London to look beyond Hyderabad and consider Tier-II towns if they are thinking of setting up business in Telangana. He also asked them to contribute to “your motherland (Telangana)” by supporting the government in creation of wealth, employment opportunities, and motivate others back home. “Let’s ensure the growth story continues,” KTR said.
Addressing a ‘Meet and Greet’ event in London, the minister said Indian diaspora had supported the Telangana movement and have always promoted Telangana wherever they were in the world and thanked them for their continued support.
He said the Telangana delegation had fruitful meetings with heads of various companies during the visit. “My job is to promote Telangana, bring investments and create jobs for the people of Telangana. We will establish deeper connections with the UK in the days to come,” KTR said.
On IT development in tier-II towns in Telangana, the minister said that the TRS government has already inaugurated IT towers in Khammam, Karimnagar and would soon to do in Mahbubnagar and Nizamabad. “There is a great IT sector presence in Warangal,” he added.
KTR listed out the achievements of the TRS government in the past eight years and highlighted that Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project was constructed in less than four years and has been providing irrigation water to lakhs of acres.
