London set to bask in warm sunshine with temperature hitting 17C after weeks of winter gloom

It seems London is being dragged out of mire, weather-wise, with the capital set to bask in warm spring sunshine this week.

The Met Office is forecasting a dramatic improvement in the weather on Tuesday and Wednesday as intense storms and dull skies of a dreary winter make way for some fine conditions.
