London travel news LIVE: Multi-vehicle crash causes chaos on M25

Traffic at a standstill on M25 - (National Highways)

A multi-vehicle crash on the M25 has caused delays of over 90 minutes and eight miles of congestion this morning.

Meanwhile, signalling failures between Crystal Palace and West Norwood and at Lewisham have affected a number of routes towards central London.

Customers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and check for the latest updates as services return to normal.

Good service resumes

There is currently a good service on every line on the Tube and Overground.

Victoria Line update

There is now a good service again on the whole Victoria line.

M25 update

Traffic conditions have now returned to normal levels on the M25, with all lanes reopening following the earlier multi-vehicle collision.

Northern line update

A good service has now resumed on the Northern line.

M25 update

There are still significant delays on the M25 following the multi-vehicle crash earlier this morning.

The incident is affecting all traffic between junction 30 and junction 28 anticlockwise - current delays are up to 25 minutes.

Northern line delays

There are minor delays on the Northern Line between Euston and Kennington via Bank southbound due to earlier faulty trackside equipment - the rest of the line still has a good service.

Tube update

There remain minor delays on the Bakerloo and Victoria lines due to train cancellations.

The rest of the network is running with a good service.

Two lanes of M25 closed after crash

Two out of four lanes on the M25 were closed earlier following a multi-vehicle crash.

The incident has affected traffic moving anti-clockwise between junction 28 at Brentwood and junction 27 for Epping and the M11.

Both lanes have now reopened, but drivers there remains delays of over 90 minutes, and eight miles of congestion.

Disruption between Blackfriars and St Pancras

The northbound line between Blackfriars and St Pancras is currently blocked due to a fault on a train.

Services are delayed, with National Rail suggesting passengers allow an extra 20 minutes time for their journey this morning.

District line update

There is now a good service on the whole District line, the signal failure issues have been resolved.

Problems at Lewisham

A fault with the signalling system at Lewisham means some some lines are blocked.

There will be delays and cancellations affecting a number of routes towards central London - please check your journey before leaving.

Victoria line delays

There are minor delays on the entire Victoria line due to train cancellations.

District line update

Service is improving on the District line - there are now only minor delays between Earl's Court and Wimbledon.

Disruption between Crystal Palace and West Norwood

A fault with the signalling system between Crystal Palace and West Norwood means all lines are blocked.

This is affecting trains between Beckenham Junction and London Bridge & London Victoria, and also trains between West Croydon and London Victoria.

Services are being cancelled or diverted - please check your route before travelling.

Traffic update

There are significant delays on the A13 and A406 (North Circular) in east London.

The North Circular (clockwise) between the A1020 (Royal Docks Road) and A13 (Newham Way) is partially blocked due to a broken down vehicle.

Westbound traffic is slow moving on the A13 from Ferry Lane, and southbound traffic is slow on the North Circular from Ilford Flyover.

Tube delays

There are currently severe delays between Earl's Court and Wimbledon on the District line due to an earlier signal failure at Parsons Green. There is a good service on the rest of the line.

Elsewhere, there are minor delays on the whole Bakerloo line due to train cancellations - the rest of the network is running with a good service.
