Lois Forsell believes her Leeds Rhinos side proved they have what it takes to end St Helens' dominance after their Challenge Cup Final defeat to St Helens.
The Rhinos were ahead at half-time but eventually fell to an 18-8 defeat at Elland Road as Saints continued their trophy-laden spell across the domestic game. However, Forsell's side lost 28-0 in the Super League Grand Final, with the result showing significant improvement in the space of months.
Undeniably disappointed with the result, Forsell insisted there were plenty of positives to take.

"Sometimes things go one way or another and it just ends up not being enough and that was the case today," Forsell said. "But we are really proud of the girls, they ran their blood to water and did everything we asked of them.
"We run Saints real close, that's not what we came to do, we came here to win but we've got to look at where we're heading, where we're going, the journey we're on, and I thought the girls were outstanding."
Forsell made her side watch Saints lift the trophy for added motivation later in the year.
"When they got their medals we stood and watched together side by side. You can walk away and hide from it but it still happened but they've got to take that desire to not see that happen again because I don't know about them but it got me and hopefully all of them."
She continued: "What I did say was, I won't say exactly what I said but hopefully they see they're human just like us because they've been built to be this almighty force and yes, they are a great team but they showed today they are beatable and they are players under pressure will have to dig deep.
"When that happens it can go either way as shown today. It's gone in their favour and that's because they have class players but we take massive confidence from that and hopefully, the rest of the players in the competition do too."
