Logan Paul unwilling to copy brother Jake in making Conor McGregor boast

Logan Paul has admitted he would not beat Conor McGregor in the UFC unlike his brother Jake who is confident he could defeat the Irishman in the octagon.

The YouTube star is currently assessing his next options after sharing the ring in a successful exhibition with Floyd Mayweather last year. His brother is making similar waves in the ring having won his last five professional fights, before recently calling out McGregor to a one-off clash in the UFC.

Paul is confident that he would definitely beat McGregor if the pair met in the ring, but is uncertain that the Irishman would make a return to the iron square to face him. "I don't think McGregor wants to fight me," Paul told Bild. "He knows he's losing. That's no joke! I just don't see how he should hit me.

"He really struggled against Mayweather and struggled. From round eight against Mayweather I turned up the heat. If I had had two more rounds I would have knocked him out, I know that! Conor would beat me in MMA, but I would definitely beat him in boxing."

McGregor has only stepped into the boxing ring once when he fought Mayweather in a huge fight in 2017 which was branded the 'biggest in combat sports history'. However he was defeated after being stopped in the tenth round of the contest and later made a move back to the UFC.

His recent form has significantly declined with just one win in his last four octagon exploits which includes two consecutive defeats to Dustin Poirier last year. Paul's younger brother Jake has consistently called for a boxing clash with McGregor throughout his short career, but has now recently claimed he could beat his foe in the UFC.

Paul made an offer to UFC president Dana White on social media for the promotion's kingpin to accept a one-fight deal for him to face McGregor, with an increase in fighter pay and healthcare if he wins. He has also vowed that he would win and believes his presence in the UFC would help make changes to the fighter pay system in the promotion.

"This is about making a change," Paul said. "That's what Conor hasn't ever done, he's always been selfish. The fighter pay needs to increase so I've said that if I win, then Dana has to increase the minimum fighter pay. If I lose then they can take the money and do whatever. But I know I can beat Conor, people think 'this kid's crazy' and yeah, I am, no s***.

"That's how I've gotten this far because I'm crazy and I believe in myself and Conor is on a downhill spiral, his limbs are all broken, in the stand-up game I'm knocking him out first round." The YouTube star has teased an MMA debut after revealing footage of his training, and has held talks with promotional labels Bellator and PFL over a switch to the cage.
