Logan Paul believes Canelo Alvarez is still one the best boxers ever - but that his loss to Dmitry Bivol has stained his legacy.
Undisputed super-middleweight champion Alvarez came up short in his return to light-heavyweight when he was outpointed by Bivol earlier this month. The Mexican was looking to win his second world title at the weight class, but Bivol proved to be too much as he overpowered Alvarez for most of the fight.
Alvarez has been called out by Paul's brother Jake on multiple occasions, with the YouTube star hoping to share the ring with him before the end of his career. Paul, who thinks Alvarez should face his brother next, admits the loss has put a dent in his legacy.
"That whole situation is sad. Oh, man! No, he's not washed. He's [Canelo Alvarez]. He's not washed. He's one of the best boxers ever. But it does just suck. What a stain on a legacy. It's just a stain, but it's there," Paul told TMZ Sports.

It marked just the second loss of Alvarez's professional career, having gone unbeaten in almost a decade since his 2013 defeat to Floyd Mayweather. After the fight, Alvarez made no excuses for the loss and praised Bivol for his exceptional performance.
"I have to accept it, it's boxing. He's a great boxer and sometimes in boxing you lose," he said. "I'm not going to give any excuses. He's a really good fighter, he comes in and goes out. I felt his power, it was a great fight and it was a good win for him."
Paul's brother Jake also weighed in on Alvarez's loss by using it as evidence that he could beat the former pound-for-pound No.1. The YouTube star thinks that in three years he could produce a masterclass similar to Bivol against the Mexican.
"Just like that Canelo Alvarez loses to Dmitry Bivol," Paul said whilst reacting to the fight. "An amazing fight by Bivol. I'm two inches bigger than Bivol and 40lb heavier. Give me three years and I take out Canelo in the same way. He was up on the ropes like he won but he only won three rounds in the entire fight.
"Eddie Hearn, f*** you, you can suck my d***. I'm coming and I'm beating Canelo in three f***ing years, I put that on my mama. Congrats to Dmitry Bivol, he showed Canelo is easily beatable by a bigger man which is what I've known for a long time. Believe in yourself and don't listen to those British s***bags like Eddie Hearn."
