Logan Paul sells rare Pokemon, but for how much?

Logan Paul has made an eye-watering profit

Logan Paul has sold a Pokemon trading card for $16.5 million.

The 30-year-old star acquired the Pikachu Illustrator card - the best preserved example of one of the rarest Pokemon cards - for $5.3 million back in 2021, and he's now sold the coveted item for a record-breaking sum.

The Pikachu Illustrator card went under the hammer on Goldin Auctions on Monday (16.02.26), and was bought by venture capitalist AJ Scaramucci, son of financier and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

Scaramucci said: "I'm on a quest to buy a T-Rex dinosaur fossil, I'm going to buy the Declaration of Independence, and I'm not stopping there. This was only the beginning."

Logan - who shot to international fame on YouTube, before joining the WWE - is thought to have earned more than $8 million in profit after auction fees.

Logan described the sale amount as "absolutely insane".

Meanwhile, Logan and his wife Nina Agdal welcomed their daughter Esme into the world in 2024, and he previously admitted that fatherhood has transformed his life, explaining that he's become "less selfish".

Logan told People: "I’m no longer my first priority. It’s made me less selfish. Prior to Nina, I was No. 1 in my life.

"Now with Esme, my daughter, I’ve dropped two rungs down the priority ladder. It’s Esme, Nina, those are interchangeable – then me.

"So for the first time in my life, I’m not my first concern. I would die for these women. I haven’t been able to say that about anyone."

Nina also observed that fatherhood had changed Logan, revealing that he's more "motivated" than ever since becoming a dad.

The model - who began dating Logan in 2022 - said: "He has actually gotten more motivated, I would almost say. He's working really hard, he wants to show her that she can do anything.

"He's obviously a softy with her, he loves her so much. But he's become very dedicated to pursuing even bigger dreams."
