Logan Paul's potential opponent Whindersson shows off 32kg weight loss

Brazilian social media star Whindersson Nunes dropped over five stone for his boxing match last month, and could be set to face Logan Paul next.

The influencer is one of the biggest stars in South America, and fought to a draw with former world champion Acelino Freitas in an exhibition bout.

And to get in shape for the eight-round bout with Freitas, Nunes had to drop from 106kg to 74kg.

He shared his progress in a series of photos on Twitter, with thousands of fans congratulating him on the weight loss.

Nunes has a monstrous social media following that comes in at well over 100million followers, making him an attractive potential opponent for Paul.

He called out Paul after his fight with Freitas was declared a draw, and the American has since accepted the challenge.

Nunes demanded a fight with Paul who later responded, "Challenge accepted". The Brazilian star then replied: "Let's do it".

The 27-year-old might even end up as the A-Side in a bout with Paul, given he has more followers on every social media platform.

Paul has yet to win a boxing match, having competed three times at varying levels of competition and skill level.

He debuted in a white collar bout with KSI, which ended in a draw in August 2018, with the pair turning professional for their rematch in 2019.

Paul dropped his British rival during their six-round second fight in California, but had two points deducted for throwing an illegal shot when KSI was down, meaning he lost a split decision.

He then took on boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout where no winner would be declared, and he was allowed to weigh-in 35lb heavier than his opponent.

Mayweather dominated the contest and likely would have picked up the victory on scorecards had there been any, but ultimately after they went eight rounds, nobody's hand was raised.

It remains to be seen if Paul will actually end up fighting Nunes, having claimed earlier this year that he was retired from the sport.

He claims that he wasn't paid fully for the Mayweather bout, and has even said that he turned down a rematch with the boxing legend.

But he appears intrigued by the prospect of facing Nunes, who has been ranked in a Snack Intelligence survey as being the second most influential social media star in the world behind PewDiePie.

Nunes' main career fame has come from YouTube, where he has gained over 3billion views on the platform, making large sums of money in the process.

He looked relatively unimpressive throughout the contest against Freitas, particularly as the rounds wore on.

But like when Paul fought Mayweather, for a novice boxer to go the distance with someone who has been a world champion in multiple weights is no mean feat.
