The Logan Paul lookalike influencer who scrapped with Nate Diaz last night has claimed he suffered a bloody head injury during the street fight.
Rodney Petersen was involved in a brawl with former UFC Diaz following the conclusion of the Misfits Boxing event in New Orleans on Friday night. Diaz, who was at the event to support teammate Chris Avila, had already been thrown out of the arena before later clashing with Petersen.
The influencer, who plays on the similarities between himself and YouTuber Paul, was seen squaring up to Diaz in footage shared on social media. Diaz then appears to put his hands on Petersen who is ultimately seen lying on the ground. He has since taken to social media to hit out at the professional fighter, saying: "I dont know what the hell I did to Nate Diaz but I'm telling you what, I'm going to knock him the f*** out when I know. You caught me off guard, what, did you think I was Logan? What the f***?"
Petersen then shows the camera the back of his head which appears to have been cut with the social media star's hair seemingly caked in blood. Diaz has yet to comment on the incident but his actions drew the attention of former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor and UFC president Dana White.
McGregor, who has twice shared the cage with Diaz, winning one fight and losing the other, took to social media to say: "Hahaha Nate on a rampage tonight! Let’s go Nate! Hahaha. Lovely little knee to the body hahahaa." McGregor couldn't pass up the chance to take a shot at Diaz as well, later adding: "I mince Nate in the clinch these days. Actually anyone in the clinch. Minced. Left like bolognese ya go against me in the clinch.
White, meanwhile, watched the incident on his phone, and said: "He just kneed that dude in the stomach, is that Logan Paul? That guy's head bounced like a f****ng basketball." Twitch star Adin Ross, who was with White, added: "That's not Logan" before White adds: "Yeah he's way too skinny, Logan is a big motherf*****."
Diaz will take on Logan's brother Jake in a professional boxing fight on August 5 which could see him come face to face with the real Logan in the build-up.
