Loan default probe against Wadhawans

DHFL EOW Dheeraj Wadhawan Economic Offences Wing Kapil Wadhawan PE

MUMBAI: The city Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has initiated a preliminary enquiry (PE) against DHFL promoters – Kapil Wadhawan and Dheeraj Wadhawan – for not repaying a loan of Rs 96.25 crore to a private bank.

Loans of Rs 550 crore were given to DHFL during 2012 and 2015. While the Wadhawans repaid Rs 450 crore, the remaining amount was not paid, the EOW said.
