It’s a must win game for the Livingston Women’s Squad this Sunday against Gartcairn at the MTC Park in Airdrie if they want to get promoted this season.
Livingston women’s side currently sit third in the league, three points behind Gartcairn in second, and just one point ahead of Renfrew in fourth.
Gartcairn have won the last five games they played at home, whereas the Livi side have won four out of five of their last away games, drawing only to Rossvale FC who currently sit at the top of the league.
The last time Livingston WFC played Gartcairn on August 22 they lost 3-2 at home to the Gartcairn side.
Coach Paul Jaconellie spoke about the team's prospects, he said: “It’s a big game this Sunday and the team knows it.
“It’s a must-win this weekend if we want to keep ourselves in contention.
“There’s no point in dreading these games - this is what the squad plays for - hopefully we can get the result we need out of it.
“Every game is critical at this point in the season, and every coach says this - but we could be doing with some luck this weekend.”
