Livingston striker Bruce Anderson believes there's more to come after grabbing double in win over Dundee

Livingston striker Bruce Anderson has backed himself to keep finding the back of the net for the Lions.

Anderson pounced twice in the opening 11 minutes of the second half as Livi returned from the winter break with a 2-0 home victory over Dundee on Tuesday night with the former Aberdeen man taking his tally to nine in all competitions this season.

While the 23-year-old’s double helped guide the side to three crucial points, the forward insists it was his all-round performance that was most pleasing.

He commented: “Luckily for me I’ve been able to grab two goals but the most important thing is that we got the win.

“The big thing is my all-round game. That’s been a weakness of mine – keeping the boys up the park. I’ve been really working on that and hopefully you can see that paying off.

“My movement in the box is something that I’ve worked really hard on this season as well, getting myself free and I think that’s me getting the rewards.

“It was a massive three points and gives us that little bit of breathing space. We need to keep improving and aim to put another run together.

“We all believe in what the manager is doing with us and we’re taking on board everything that is said and I think you’re starting to see now that we’re gelling because there was a lot of new faces at the start of the season.”

He added: “There’s competition for places but it’s healthy competition that means I have to be on the top of my game every day in training.

“The manager doesn’t let the standards slip and for me it’s just about giving 100 per cent every day and seeing where that takes us.

“I feel like I should have scored more goals in the first half of the season but it’s just about being clinical and hopefully I can start racking up the goals.

“It doesn’t really phase me if I miss a chance. I have the mindset that I’ll get the next one or I’ll get into the position again.”
