Wet and windy conditions will continue until the end of the week, according to forecasters.
The Met Office reports that rainy and mild weather will dominate before it will turn colder. Today on Thursday , January 12, it will be cloudy to start with outbreaks of rain in the morning.
Heavy rain will take over towards midday before leaving behind some showers and wind in the afternoon. However temperatures will remain warm for this time of year with highs of 12C.
