Liverpool vs Man City semi-final date and time confirmed as FA offer limited free coach travel to Wembley

Liverpool will take on Man City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley at 3.30pm on Saturday April 16, the FA have confirmed.

The Reds will take on the side they're competing with for the Premier League title for a chance to face either Chelsea or Crystal Palace in the final. Those two sides will meet on Sunday April 17 at 4.30pm.

Meanwhile, the FA say they will put on 100 free buses for fans travelling to the capital for the semi-final, with trains from the North West to London cancelled that weekend due to essential work being done on the trainline.

That's enough for around 5,000 supporters to travel. Wembley has a capacity of 90,000.

A statement from the FA read: "The FA is pleased to announce that a limited number of free return bus services will be provided for both the Emirates FA Cup and Vitality Women’s FA Cup Semi Finals involving Liverpool and Manchester City on Saturday 16 April to support fans from the North West who wish to travel to and from London.

"The FA will charter 100 buses from Anfield and the Etihad Stadium respectively to Wembley Stadium and back. This will ensure that up to 5,000 Liverpool and Manchester City supporters will be able to travel to Wembley Stadium free of charge for their Semi Final tie.

"The FA is also committed to provide a number of free return bus services for Manchester City Women supporters travelling from the North West to East London.

"These bus schedules are subject to availability, must be pre-booked, and the clubs will provide more information in due course.

"In addition, The FA is working with its partners at National Highways to ensure that the road networks are running as efficiently as possible over the Easter period. Hundreds of miles of unessential roadworks will be put on hold to help supporters enjoy the occasion and enhance their journeys, and these motorists are encouraged to make sure that their vehicles are roadworthy before setting off."

Both clubs and their supporter groups have asked for the tie to be moved to a more appropriate venue, but the FA have refused to budge on the tie being held at Wembley.
