Dozens of protesters gathered on the steps outside St George's Hall in Liverpool today to protest the shock decision by the US Supreme Court to overturn the c onstitutional right to abortion.
The shock move reversed the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade case which saw the United States Supreme Court rule that a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy was protected by the US constitution.
Protesters gathered for the impromptu demonstration held in Liverpool today (Sunday) with placards bearing messages such as "Our bodies our choice", "Hands off our reproductive rights" and "Solidarity with our US sisters." They also listened to speeches from a range of speakers.
