Liverpool have reportedly grown in confidence that they can agree a deal for RB Leipzig star Dominik Szoboszlai.
The attacking midfielder has already been linked with Newcastle in recent weeks, though the Magpies’ focus has been on wrapping up the signing of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.
Midfield is a key area for Liverpool this summer. Alexis Mac Allister was signed earlier in the window, while Mason Mount, Khephren Thuram and Romeo Lavia are among those who have also been linked with a move to Anfield.

Szoboszlai is now the focus though, and The Athletic report that after positive talks with Leipzig in the past 24 hours, Liverpool now believe it will be possible to sign the 22-year-old.
It’s believed that Szoboszlai has a release clause of £60m which expires today, meaning Liverpool will have to swiftly move to match that or face the prospect of negotiating a fee with Leipzig.
The two clubs have already done business this window, with Fabio Carvalho set to complete his season-long loan move to Germany after struggling for regular minutes in his first season at Liverpool.
