Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has sent a “good luck” message to Premier League teams over Manchester City.
The Reds have been competing with Man City for the Premier League title for the past few seasons. The last campaign saw Liverpool fall just one point short, despite only losing two matches throughout the season in the league.
During the close season, both Liverpool and Man City have been busy in the transfer market to strengthen their respective squads. The Reds have brought in Darwin Nunez, Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay to Anfield.

For City, they have added Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips and Erling Haaland to their ranks. It’s the addition of the latter that has led to Lawrenson sending a message to Liverpool and the rest of the top flight.
Lawrenson has compared Haaland to Liverpool’s new striker, Nunez, and how they are both different players. This led to the former Reds defender offering a word of warning to the rest of the Premier League.
“Both Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez are goal scorers but they’re both completely different players,” Lawrenson told Paddy Power .
“It shows that you don’t have to have a stereotypical player in that position. They can be different.
“As we saw with City last year, they won the league without a striker. And now they've got one of the world's best so good luck to everybody else.”
