Liverpool 'hold talks' with Ryan Gravenberch's management amid transfer links

Liverpool have reportedly held talks with Ryan Gravenberch’s management in the past few days.

That's according to German publication Sport Bild, who are reporting that a delegation from Liverpool 'sought talks' with Bayern Gravenberch’s management in the Netherlands. Bayern Munich midfielder Gravenberch has made just four starts since moving to Bavaria from Ajax for an initial £16m last summer and hasn't been named in a starting lineup since November.

As a result, the Netherlands international has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena with Liverpool interested in potentially bringing him in this summer as they look to restructure a midfield department that is set to lose James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita.

Speaking about his frustrations this season, the Dutchman told Voetbal International last week: "Training and playing at the top level for a year is beautiful and instructive.

“Although playing, it is mainly training. That has to change next season, then I really want to play weekly again.

“I haven't spoken to the club management yet, so just wait and see what happens. But it is clear that this role does not match my expectations."
