Liverpool fans notice what Sadio Mane did in training after AFCON win

Sadio Mane has returned to Liverpool training full of confidence following last weekend's Africa Cup of Nations final victory with Senegal.

The 29-year-old was a hero for his national side as he scored the winning penalty kick against Egypt to earn his side their first AFCON title in history.

With celebrations in his home nation taking place throughout the week, Mane returned to Merseyside on Wednesday night and took part in Friday's training session at the AXA training centre.

The Liverpool man was captured by the LFC TV cameras producing a incredible piece of skill and first touch before firing an effort past Caoimhin Kelleher.

Mane is in contention to feature for the Reds in Sunday's Premier League clash against Burnley and will hope to continue his AFCON form for the Reds.

Speaking ahead of the clash at Turf Moor, manager Jurgen Klopp told reporters: "Sadio will come for training this morning [Friday] and then we will make a decision after that.

"Physically, we have to see how intense the past few days have been for him."

Mohamed Salah went straight back into the squad for Thursday's win over Leicester City at Anfield after he returned to training just two days after his national team were defeated in the final.

The Egyptian came on as a second-half substitute for Roberto Firmino with 30 minutes left on the clock.
