Liverpool fan in tears after being 'assaulted by steward' at Champions League final

A Liverpool FC fan told of the terrifying moment she was assaulted by a steward outside Stade de France.

Jen Davidson, 37, from Crosby, was one of many fans left in tears ahead of the Champions League final on Saturday after "being treated like cattle" in queues that came to a standstill for hours. The 37-year-old described the scenes that unfolded outside the stadium as the worst experience she'd ever had at a football match and a night which has put her off going to another European final in the future.

Liverpool FC has requested a formal investigation from UEFA after supporters faced serious organisational issues outside the Stade de France. UEFA delayed the match by 30 minutes and in a public statement said the issues were due to "thousands of fans who had purchased fake tickets".
