Liverpool are once again being linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
The Reds were first linked with Barella last summer, and the rumours have persisted over the course of the past 12 months. The player has remained in Italy, but a fresh report indicates that could change.
According to Italian news outlet Calciomercato , the Serie A club could consider selling Barella during the January transfer window. It has been reported that Inter have assigned a €70million (£60m) asking price on Barella’s signature.

The report goes on step further by saying that an ‘offer’ from the Premier League is possible. Liverpool are the one club in the English top flight who have been the most frequently linked with Barella.
Liverpool waited until deadline day this summer to bring in Arthur Melo on loan from Juventus. The Reds are reported to have the option of making the deal permanent for €37.5m (£32m) at the end of the season.
Even though Barella has been linked with Liverpool, it’s another player who has dominated the rumour headlines -Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham. The England international could be of interest to the Reds at the end of the season, but it remains to be seen whether the club will make a move.
