Liverpool confirm loan deal for American youngster

Liverpool academy graduate Matteo Ritaccio has joined American outfit the Charleston Battery on loan for the 2022 season, the club has confirmed.

Reports emerged on Friday that the 20-year-old was set to head back across the Atlantic for a temporary spell in his homeland.

Liverpool have now made that switch official, with Ritaccio heading out on his first loan spell away since joining the Reds in 2018.
