Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister for an initial £45million.
The 24-year-old Argentina international has joined the Reds on a five-year deal until 2028 after completing a medical earlier in the week. Mirror Football understands Liverpool have agreed to pay Brighton an initial cut-price fee of between £45-50million, which could be supplemented by performance-related add-ons.
The midfielder said: “It feels amazing. It’s a dream come true, it’s amazing to be here and I can’t wait to get started. I wanted to be in [from] the first day of pre-season, so it’s good that everything is done. I’m looking forward to meeting my teammates.
