Liverpool confirm £85m Darwin Nunez deal after beating Manchester United to key target

Liverpool have signed Darwin Nunez on a deal potentially worth a club-record £87million.

The striker arrives from Benfica in a deal worth an initial £70m, with very achievable add-ons that could take the deal to £87m. Manchester United had made Nunez one of their key targets but the Reds were in pole position after firming up their interest.
