Alisson Becker will miss Liverpool's Community Shield against Manchester City this weekend - but will be available for the start of the Premier League season.
And Reds boss Jurgen Klopp had a gloomier injury update over Diogo Jota by admitting it could "take a while" before the forward recovers from his hamstring injury.
Alisson has sat out the last three friendlies having suffered an abdominal issue during the Singapore leg of the Far East tour earlier this month.

With Caoimhin Kelleher absent since earlier in the month, Adrian has been only available senior goalkeeper and started against Crystal Palace, RB Leipzig and Wednesday's 1-0 defeat at Red Bull Salzburg.
And while Alisson stepped up training at the camp in Austria on Thursday, he will not be available for Saturday's clash with City at the King Power Stadium in Leicester with Adrian continuing to deputise.
"Ali trained today more than the day before so he will be definitely available for Fulham, but not for the weekend," said Klopp.
Jota aggravated a previous hamstring injury in Thailand which has ruled him out of all of Liverpool's pre-season matches and the Austrian retreat, with Klopp having been fearful the Portuguese wouldn't be available for the trip to Craven Cottage.
And when asked about Jota, Klopp said: "Diogo was not here with us so how could he play a football game? That will take a while, unfortunately. That’s it.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Caomhin Kelleher and Calvin Ramsay all remain unavailable for the weekend - Liverpool also entertain Strasbourg in a friendly on Sunday evening - while Kostas Tsimikas is a doubt having missed out in midweek with a knock.
