A city centre bar is set to mark the arrival of the festive season by being wrapped in a giant bow.
BoBo on Castle Street will be adorned with a giant red Cartier-style ribbon as the venue gets into the Christmas spirit. Each year, the world-renowned Cartier mansion on New York City's Fifth Avenue is decorated with a ribbon and bow - and now BoBo is following suit.
BoBo was recently named as the runner up in the best bar in the North of England category in the Observer Food Monthly Awards. The bar is also running the 'Best Shot of BowBow' competition, with the prize of bottomless brunch for four people. To enter, guests must post a photo of the venue on Instagram before December 14 and tag @bobo_liverpool in the post.

Steven Burgess of Lucky Penny Group, owner and operator of BoBo, said: "Massive bows as well as angels, nutcrackers, lights and other festive decor adorn NYC's most famous buildings and have helped make the city synonymous with the sparkle of Christmas.
"It has been a good year for the bar and we just want to celebrate our success and our BowBow picture competition will help people join in. BoBo is a small venue and decorating in this way will help us and the rest of the street get in the Christmas spirit. We wanted to create a big visual impact on Castle Street and the bow and ribbon look great while also giving this old building the respect it deserves."
