Liverpool among 'seven clubs' trying to hijack Man Utd bid for RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko

Liverpool are reportedly one of seven clubs interested in signing RB Salzburg star Benjamin Sesko.

The forward has become one of the hottest sensations across Europe. Last season, the Slovenian striker scored 10 goals for RB Salzburg and he impressed during the pre-season friendly against Liverpool in Austria a couple of weeks ago.

Salzburg have a history of selling talented strikers and Sesko could soon be added to that list, but a club would have to meet the £54million price tag placed on the 19-year-old's head. Former Reds star Sadio Mane, along with Erling Haaland, Patson Daka and Karim Adeyemi are some key names sold by the Austrian club in recent years.
