PGA Tour star Billy Horschel believes his LIV Golf rivals will have 'some regrets' over their Saudi switch, amid the series' ongoing saga surrounding the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). LIV Golf are yet to acquire recognition with OWGR, meaning players are unable to earn ranking points.
Last week, the LIV playing roster wrote to OWGR chairman Peter Dawson, asking for the breakaway series to be awarded ranking points, whilst also dating back events that have already taken place without points. The absence of OWGR recognition has been a bitter pill to swallow for the Saudi-funded series.
As a result, some of the biggest names in golf including Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau have seen their world ranking plummet since joining LIV Golf.
