LIV Golf DC prize money revealed as Harold Varner III secures £3.2 million jackpot

Another week of LIV Golf, another £20million prize pot, as the Saudi-funded circuit's 48 players battled it out at Trump National for the LV DC title in the United States capital.

The man who prevailed was Harold Varner III, as he saw off the likes of Branden Grace and Mito Pereira to secure the £3.2m top prize following Sunday's final round. Varner carded an impressive four-under-par 68 on the final day to get his hands on the title.

The final 18 holes on Sunday proved to be a tense affair, with the RangeGoats star getting over the line on the very final hole after rolling in a birdie at the par five 18th.

Victory proved to be emotional for Varner, who secured his first ever win on American soil. Speaking post-round, he said: "[It was] Very special. I've never won in America. It's my favorite country -- don't kill me. But yeah, it's very cool."

Detailing how it was special to have his family alongside him, the 32-year-old added: "I think I've been playing well. It just helps. I've played with my family well. I played terrible with my family there. So that doesn't bother me. They make the bad rounds better.

"The good rounds are just good rounds. 20 years from now, no one is going to remember who won this tournament, who won any tournament. They are going to remember how you helped them. I've always said that." What also made the round better was of course the £3.2m payout that followed.

He of course was not the only LIV star taking home a nice payout, with all 48 players of course taking a piece of the £20m prize pot. Here is a full break down of who won what after 54 holes around the Donald Trump-owned venue.
