Little Mix fans left 'crying' as band appear in final TV interview before taking break

Little Mix fans were left 'crying' on Tuesday night as the band appeared on The One Show for their final TV interview before taking a break - and it was an emotional one. Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie announced in December 2021 they would be stepping back from Little Mix after they had finished their UK tour and the final tour date is looming closer.

The trio joined BBC's The One Show on Tuesday, May 10, where they were preparing to head out on stage in Nottingham and spoke of their upcoming dates in London's O2. Their last gig of the Confetti tour will be on May 14, a concert which is also going to be livestreamed for fans, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas had a bunch of questions for the popstars from eager fans who had sent in video messages. Two young fans quizzed what they would miss most about being in a band, to which Jade said: "Oh gosh, don’t start me off, I’m already emotional. Everything, honestly everything. We honestly cry laughing every day, don’t we?"

Struggling to hold back tears, 29-year-old Jade continued: "We do genuinely spend all of our time together, so I think we’ll just miss that – each other’s company and being on stage together. That sisterhood is always going to stay obviously but I’ll miss them being next to me 24/7."

It wasn't just the band members getting emotional, fans took to Twitter to say they were "crying" during the final interview. "Not me crying watching @LittleMix on #TheOneShow totally not ready to say goodbye yet." Bettie Karen posted whilst Casey tweeted: "IM CRYING THAT MADE ME SO EMOTIONAL:(( @LittleMix #TheOneShow".

Michelle added: "Time for @LittleMix interview with @BBCTheOneShow I feel emotional. So proud of these girls #TheOneShow xx" and Jay Baker said: "Are they trying to make little mix cry by repeating it's the last interview? #TheOneShow".

Little Mix announced their break in December 2 last year, but were keen to tell fans they were not "splitting up". In a social media post they said: "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.

"We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future. We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more. We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour! Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie x".

The One Show airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer weekdays from 7pm.
