List of pharmacies open this Easter Bank Holiday weekend

With the Easter Bank Holiday once again upon us, there is a little uncertainty about which pharmacies you can access on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

The NHS is reminding people they can still access urgent care over the four day weekend, regardless of whether GP practices are closed. If you are in need of urgent help that is not an emergency you should use the dedicated NHS 111 service online or call NHS 111 if you can’t get help online.

NHS 111 is staffed by trained professionals who provide instant triage over the phone and can arrange face-to-face appointments with an out of hours GP or hospital if needed. When someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk, people should always call 999 immediately, just as they normally would.

But some pharmacies and walk-in centres will continue to be open over the bank holidays and can be consulted for non-urgent medical advice, prescriptions and treatment. We have put together a list of some open pharmacies should you need medical advice this weekend, however these times are subject to change at short notice, so do phone to check that a pharmacy is open before visiting.

Walk-in centres:

In Knowsley, on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday all Walk in Centres will be open from 10am-8.30pm and on Easter Saturday from 8am-8.30pm. These are in Huyton, Kirkby and Halewood.

All of Liverpool's walk-in centres will be open 8am-8pm seven days a week, even on a bank holiday. Parents are also being reminded they can access Alder Hey's new symptom checker which offers advice on common symptoms and when to seek further help.
