The Detroit Lions have added another assistant coach to Dan Campbell’s staff. And this one is another former player fans will instantly recognize.
Former Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett has joined the Lions as an offensive assistant coach. Barrett bounced around several NFL practice squads for a few seasons after leading the Buckeyes program. He recently retired after a stint with the CFL’s Edmonton Elks.
Barrett’s duties with the Lions are not yet specified. With training camp kicking off this week it won’t take long to see where Barrett, 27, fits into Campbell’s staff.
