In Detroit, head coach Dan Campbell is generally known for being the most emotionally charged member of the Lions staff. General manager Brad Holmes might be ready to challenge coach Campbell for that passionate throne.
Holmes is known to be excitable when he lands his man in the NFL draft. He showed that last year when Detroit selected Aidan Hutchinson. The GM, a former collegiate defensive tackle who keeps himself quite fit, proved it once again on Thursday night when he tabbed Alabama RB Jahmyr Gibbs with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.
Holmes excitedly bro-hugged Campbell before gleefully pounding his hand on a table. He then gave a spirited high-five to team president Rod Wood before a hearty hug.

It’s safe to say Holmes was excited about drafting Gibbs.
