Kalif Raymond has emerged as one of the Detroit Lions top receivers, as well as one of the NFL’s top punt returners, over the last two seasons. Now Raymond will be in Detroit for at least two more.
Per Ian Rapoport, the Lions and Raymond have reached an agreement on a two-year contract extension. The financial details are not yet known, but Rapoport indicates it will make Raymond one of the highest-paid punt returners in the NFL.

Raymond has proven to be much more than that for Detroit. The 29-year-old (as of Tuesday) caught 47 passes for 616 yards in 2022, his second season in Detroit. Raymond also won the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 15 and has proven to be an indispensable contributor on return and coverage units.
