Lionel Richie ‘checks himself into ICU’ after concert

  • Lionel Richie , 77, reportedly checked himself into an ICU following a concert in St Louis, Missouri, on Saturday 29 August.
  • According to People, Richie’s latest hospital visit was “out of caution”, while TMZ claimed doctors were looking into “possible slight dehydration”.
  • The incident follows a previous hospital visit in June after the singer experienced a dizzy spell in St Paul, Minnesota .
  • Richie has a gap in his tour dates before his next scheduled stop in San Francisco on September 26.
  • The singer first rose to fame as a songwriter and the co-lead singer of the Motown group The Commodores.
