A punter in Co. Limerick is toasting their GAA knowledge after an early cash out triggered a tasty five-figure reward at the weekend – but it could have been even better.
The anonymous customer struck a confident €100 accumulator bet via their online BoyleSports account, predicting outcomes across five GAA matches.
The winning selections before the cash-out included Galway at 2/1, Wexford at 10/3 and Wicklow at 7/2.
With these winning selections already in the bag, the punter decided to take the cash-out option on their online account with two selections left but they were in play with ten minutes to go.
The punter didn’t fancy waiting around to see if Clare would beat Tipperary and Donegal would beat Armagh but in fact, they did so the cash-out wasn’t needed at all.
In the end their stake turned into €12,468.75 but if the punter hadn’t cashed-out then they would have scooped €20,500.
