Killers of the Flower Moon star Lily Gladstone gave one the best speeches of the night at this year’s Golden Globes ceremony.
Winning in the Best Actress (Drama) category, Gladstone started her speech speaking the Blackfeet language before paying tribute to that “beautiful community” that raised and encouraged her and her mother for making sure she learned the Blackfeet language as a child.
She also thanked everyone who helped bring Martin Scorsese’s film to life, and she might well keep winning awards this season.
We’re considering her our favorite for Best Actress at the Oscars right now, and her moving speech only makes those chances stronger.

We’ll see how well Killers of the Flower Moon does overall at March’s Oscar ceremony, where it will earn its fair share of nominations, including Best Picture.
However, we feel very confident the film and Gladstone’s performance will live well past this awards season into the history of the medium.
