After trailing Strasbourg for more than 60 minutes, the Parisians called upon their substitutes to turn the game around. Following their spectacular Champions League victory over Manchester City and ahead of their clash with FC Barcelona, PSG are brimming with confidence.
The mood at their rivals Olympique de Marseille (OM) is a far cry from that, however, as OM have won just two matches since the start of the season. “It’s important to regain confidence,” said Bruno Génésio ahead of the match against Angers, a team that Marseille should be able to beat. In Spain, Barça are in fine form ahead of their match with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). In tennis, the Shanghai Masters 1000 final is an all-Spanish affair, with Rafael Jodar taking on Alejandro Davidovich Fokina.
