The Lightning are bolstering their attack and adding a major physical presence to the locker room ahead of the 2023 NHL trade deadline. On Sunday night, Tampa Bay announced it had agreed to acquire left winger Tanner Jeannot from the Predators, in what was Nashville’s second big trade of the weekend.
Having already offloaded veteran forward Nino Neiderreiter in a deal with the Jets, the Predators received a king’s ransom in return for the former undrafted rookie. In exchange for Jeannot, the Lightning sent Nashville defenseman Cal Foote, a 2025 first-round pick, a 2024 second-round pick, and third-, fourth- and fifth-round picks in the upcoming 2023 NHL draft, according to Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli.
