Lightning Interrupts Men's Golf Event At Paris Games

The Paris Games have been experiencing some weather-related disruptions in various competitions, with the men's golf event being the latest to be affected. The first round of the men's golf event at Le Golf National, located southwest of Paris, was interrupted due to lightning in the area. Play was stopped at 4:26 p.m. local time, bringing the first round to a premature close.

Defending champion Xander Schauffele was on the 18th hole when play was halted, with him tied for second place at six-under par. Meanwhile, Japan's Hideki Matsuyama has taken the lead, finishing the first round at eight-under par.
