Woman shares 'lifesaver' hay fever hack to trap pollen and alleviate symptoms

Hay fever can be a real pain, interfering with life throughout the spring and summer months.

Temperature and rainfall patterns mean that the severity of pollen levels changes from year to year, with many experiencing particularly bad symptoms this time around.

Lots of people have been searching the internet for the best hacks to help alleviate symptoms and put an end to their suffering. Thankfully, one TikTok user shared her 'life saving' hack to help her followers out with a simple and cheap method - all that's needed is some Vaseline and a cotton bud.

Taking to the social media platform, @bambidoesbeauty captioned the clip: "Hay fever sufferers unite! This is the best hack to stop you sneezing constantly".

She said: "If you get allergies, this is a lifesaver. Get your Vaseline stick and put a little bit onto a cotton bud. Put it around the end of your nose and it is going to trap the pollen particles.

"Thank me later."

The video has racked up over 250,000 likes, 31,000 shares and nearly 6,000 comments so far, with viewers left super thankful for the tip.

"This is the hack for allergy season!", said one comment.

Many also tagged their friends to help them out.

Other commenters shared their own tips too, with one writing: "You can also put the Vaseline on your eyelashes. Doing both really helps me".

A second agreed, saying: "Under the eyes as well, trust me."

A third suggested: "this but with tigerbalm. You will be able to breathe through your nose again".
