Lidl has issued an urgent warning to shoppers who have bought a popular snack from its stores recently, as it may contain an undeclared allergen.
The budget-friendly supermarket has recalled one of its types of crisps from shop shelves amid fears it could pose a risk to anyone who suffers from a milk intolerance or allergy.
This is because of a 'mis-pack' when preparing the product to be sold, and Lidl has said that anyone who has purchased the snack can take it back to any store and receive a full refund
The product which has been recalled is the Snaktastic Chilli Heatwave Tortilla Chips, which do not have milk listed on the label. They said the affected packets may contain Tangy Cheese flavour Tortilla Chips, Manchester Evening News reports.
This means the snack is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.
