Singer Lewis Capaldi has announced he is launching his own pizza range modestly called Lewis Capaldi’s Big Sexy Pizza.
The Forget Me hit-maker claims he was inspired to leap from music to mozzarella during lockdown and that while some people worked on their banana bread, sourdough was his “solace”.
In a three-minute promo video to flog his new wares, he explains: “I think lockdown spurred a lot of ideas for a lot of people. I saw a lot of people on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter getting really into your banana breads and what have you, and I turned to sourdough. Sourdough was my solace.
“The cogs started turning and I thought pizza could be my true calling.”
Lewis Capaldi’s Big Sexy Pizza is currently on sale in Tesco and Iceland and is available in two flavours - The Big Sexy Cheesy One and The Big Sexy Meaty One.
According to a press release, it is “created using a 24 hour sourdough to enhance the flavour of the crust, the base is shaped by unique patented technology that individually spins each dough ball to form a top quality base.
“It’s then topped with specially selected ingredients and quickly frozen to lock in all those Big Sexy flavours.”
