Lewis Capaldi spotted chilling out with a beer in TRNSMT crowd as he supports fellow West Lothian act

Lewis Capaldi was spotted in the crowd at TRNSMT festival as he supported his friends LF System on Saturday night.

The 26-year-old wore a black hoodie and kept a low profile during the duo’s closing set on the King Tut’s stage. The Someone You Loved star stood in the pit during the performance by fellow West Lothians Sean Finnigan and Conor Larkman.

Some lucky fans at Glasgow Green were left stunned as they spotted the star sipping a can of Tennents. One festival goer posted a picture of her holding out her hand to Capaldi on her Instagram story as she said: “So eh this happened earlier and I am NOT OKAY. Ly Lewis x.”

The fan then posted a video of Capaldi enjoying the act as he took pictures of his friends performing. It comes weeks after the singer was forced to cut his Glastonbury set short by six minutes as he battled with his voice.

Lewis was helped by adoring fans who sang his songs back to him as he struggled with his Tourette’s. He then announced that he will be taking a break from touring ‘for the foreseeable future’.

On Friday night, Niall Horan paid tribute to his pal by encouraging thousands of fans to chant “we love you Lewis”. The former One Direction star briefly interrupted his set to send a message to the fellow singer. Niall said: “I know this is on television.

“Our good friend Mr Capaldi is watching. Shall we give him a little shout?”

Thousands then cheered “we love you Lewis” on the count of three.

Niall added during his TRNSMT set: “He can hear us. I know he will. He’s in Bathgate and he can hear us loud and clear. He’ll be back. He’ll be back.”
