Popstar Lewis Capaldi has received a visit from some furry friends ahead of his big Cardiff show. The Scottish crooner was lucky enough to meet some rescue dogs from The Rescue Hotel, a volunteer-run charity working with and based out of Cardiff Dogs Home.
The witty Glaswegian met hard-working volunteers and pooches from the charity at the Cardiff International Arena ahead of his show there on Wednesday, February 1, part of his Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent Tour. The charity conducts constant fundraising to support Cardiff Dogs Home.
Sharing the adorable visit on its Instagram page, the charity said: "Wow wee, us pups are having the best day ever! We’ve only gone and got to meet the legend that is Lewis Capaldi today before his show @cardiffinternationalarena."

The charity added that its team of volunteers would be collecting donations in buckets ahead of tonight's sold-out show. "Please pop along to say hi and donate some pennies," they added in their post.
The Rescue Hotel was set up in 2019 and aims to rewrite dogs' futures by improving the facilities at Cardiff Dogs Home and provide additional care to dogs who need it. Their work includes fundraising to improve the kennels and layout of Cardiff Dogs Home to make it more comfortable for dogs who stay, offering help and advice to dog owners and supporting Cardiff Dogs Home in its efforts to give dogs a new loving home.
On its website the charity, whose founding Ambassador is former Wales and British Lions rugby star Sam Warburton, says its aim is for the Hotel "to be a zen as possible for our dogs while they stay with us" and is aiming to raise £500,000 for its project. The JustGiving fundraiser has already surpassed £300,000 and you can donate to it here.
You can donate to The Rescue Hotel online here or go to their website, Facebook or Instagram pages to find out more about their great work and how you can help.
